WITL ~ Monday Pages

I was able to pickup the last of my photos this morning and finished up my day.  I will be on the lookout for some small embellishments to add later if they fit.
I have to laugh at my intro photo.  This is how my bed looks most mornings as I'm trying to get dressed.  I added the camera washi and glitter to the #2.
I did some journaling on the bottom photo in photoshop.  I added the Monday card to the middle.
The journaling was done in photoshop and printed to the back of the card.  I had a few extra photos and glued two back to back.  I know the photo is missing something, I just haven't found what fits.
I used the same pattern with the Monday stamp from Ali's These Days Are For stamps.  I added a wood piece from American Crafts.  I couldn't bring myself to trim the bottom right photo down.  I liked the entire photo and I can see the exhaustion after a long few days.

My journaling for today focused on friendships.  The Enjoy the Small Things card is from a PL kit - I don't remember which one it is from as I have a whole pile of them.  I attached the M from Ali's WITL Kit.
I added a photo to the back of the PL card.  My last night of homework!!  The 6x8 photo is a perfect ending to my day.  These ladies are fellow band moms and I love how much laughter they add to my life.

WITL ~ Tuesday Pages

I skipped head to Tuesday because I still have a few more picture to print out.  I took Ali's advice and kept the same layout as Sunday.  It makes it so much simpler when getting this project put together.
I used the circle from the digital kit.  It was perfect for my opening photo.  My daughter took 3rd place in the championship track meet.  I still don't understand her love for running.  I added wash to my divider and added black glitter to the #3 from the kit.
On the back page I added the timeline from the 3x8 Layered Template Kit.  I really love adding this to each day.  I can see how some days are crazy and others not so much.  The photo on the bottom is my absolute favorite from the week.  It tells the story of how close the girls have become over the last two years.  They are forever laughing and joking on the way to school.
I added some journaling to the top photo and a sticker word set from the kit along with the heart.  On the 3x8 page I printed out my homework checklist and added it to the digital layered template.
On the back I added a piece of paper I had from a paper pack from My Mind's Eye.  I used the clear letter from the kit and the morning, afternoon, and evening card.  Each day I'm trying to stick to one theme to write about.  Today's was success and accomplishments.  On the next page I used Ali's These Day Are For stamp and added the chipboard.  On my daughter's picture I used the letter for her first name and wrote about how she is not a morning person just like me.
I used a 3x5 card from the kit and it fit my journaling of happiness of finishing my semester.
I used the digital kit and added my journaling on the back of the Tuesday card.  I had to put my font smaller since I had more to write about.  The ending photo is a closeup of my daughter's medal.

WITL ~ Sunday Pages

I finally plunged in and completed the first day of pages.  I keep waiting for inspiration, but it's better to have it done than sitting in my head with nothing to show.  I may go back and reprint a few photos because you can't really see the journaling.  But for now Sunday is done and I really love how it came out.

Moving On

I cannot believe how quickly time goes by.  It seems like just the other day that this girl was going to Kindergarten.  It feels like her entire life that she is waiting for the next step.  She has a late birthday and yet is so smart that she is forever waiting to move on to the next step.  It was the same in Kindergarten, she couldn't wait till she could go to school.  And now, she is finally ready for high school.  I hope that now she will settle down and savor every moment and not jump ahead too soon to the next part.

This sums up Victoria's personality just perfectly!!  She is her own person with her own plans!

The End.....

The end of the school year is one of happiness and sadness.  I know the teachers and students are ready for a break.  It's sad to see blank hallways and classrooms because teachers are cleaning out the classrooms.  I am amazed at how much paper is used when my kids bring home their backpacks full of past work.  I know I am ready for summer and my pile of books to read.  Now if only I could convince my kids that reading is fun!

Week In The Life - Saturday's Words & Photos

It's a rare morning when I'm awake before anyone else.  I came out to the living room where it's cooler and the fan is going at full force.  I eventually made my way upstairs where two of the three were awake, but quietly laying in bed.  One of the things I noticed as I came downstairs, the stairs are always a mess.  I'm just happy that there wasn't anything major to trip on.

I asked Lillian to take a picture with me and she proceeded to tell me that I was taking selfies the wrong way.  She took over and personally I don't see the difference in her way and mine.

Hubby made chicken tortilla soup and I have been enjoying it for days.  I think tonight will be the last of it which makes me sad.

Getting ready for the day.  We are slow moving and Lillian is trying to duplicate her hair like she had it at the track meet the other day.  I'm pretty sure one of her friends did it, but she isn't fessing up yet.

After we dropped Lillian off at her party, we stopped at the library.  I have a book on hold.  It's for my honors thesis and I figure I better get a head start this summer.  The library has changed the way they hold books.  Now it's on a shelf and you go pick it up.  I'm always afraid someone will take my book.

Afterwards, we stopped at Wal-Mart for a few items.  $133 later and we finally left.  It was quite strange to have a cloud burst and then blue skies again.  I wish we had gotten more rain.

We also stopped at the grocery store and again I was reminded why I don't enjoy grocery shopping.  It's a good thing we can laugh about it the whole way.  On the way home we stopped at Sonic for a drink.  I love their drinks even though they are full of sugar.

I fell asleep again and ended up take a four hour nap!  Everyone went over to a party.  Hubby tried to wake me up, but I was so exhausted I fell back to sleep.  After waking up, I made some more soup and caught up on the newest episode from Grey's.

Lillian has been asking to go clothes shopping.  I dragged myself out of bed and took her to the mall. She said the store was having a sale.  And sure enough they were, but we somehow left there spending $43.  I also sat there for an hour while she tried on tons of things.  My patience had hit its limit and thankfully she was finished.

I got home to this boy having another glass of milk.  He tried to say he was going to make coffee at 9:30 at night.

I couldn't hold off and had to dive in to my box of candy.  I was hoping to go to the movies this weekend, but not sure how that fits with everything.

I made it home in time to order my very first Story Kit from Ali Edwards.  Her products are amazing and help me to document the everyday. It's the stories that I want to remember.  I wasn't fast enough and missed out on the stamp set.  I'm hoping they restock, but if not I still have the story kit.

I'm so proud of myself that even with the crazy week of finals, meetings, and life I was able to take photos everyday.  I edited them and picking them up from Target today.  This is a project I intend to finish all the way through.  And with work winding down this week, I will have time to do that and work on the other projects I have on my desk!!

Week In The Life - Friday's Words & Photos

At some point the kids have to get it together and get their permission slips filled out the day before.  Thankfully hubby was home and did that part for me.  He also took the girls to school since it was my day off.

I finally got up and dressed.  I scored a new UA shirt at their super sale two weeks ago.  Being involved with student government has made me feel like I'm a real college student instead of someone just taking classes.

It's rare that I have the same day off as hubby as I usually spend it doing observations.  Today was the first day that I was able to be off and we started off having breakfast at one of our favorite places.  It's the small moments that I relish.

Home for a small break to just relax.  The temps are getting hotter and so my fans run 24/7 right now.  I think we both could have passed out for a nap.

Our relaxation didn't last for long.  We headed into town to pickup a veggie tray for Victoria's field trip.  The quick stop at the store meant I had time to pickup a drink as well.  I know Starbucks are expensive, but the drinks are amazing.  We also stopped at Jimmy Johns to pickup sandwiches for the field trip.  The got the times mixed up so I had to wait for a bit.  The food is good and they are super fast about having it ready.

We headed over to the park.  I don't know who is happier about going to high school, me or Victoria. She has a late birthday and has been waiting for what seems like forever.  The year has been really good for her.  She is more focused, calm, and has made some great friends.  Her grades have been amazing all year and will be entering in as an honors student.

Victoria usually doesn't sit in the front seat because the girl talks like no other.  There's the amount of words that boy and girls say and then there's the amount that Victoria says.  I made it her job to take a photo on our drive home and this is what I got :)
We were all wiped by the end of the school day.  Victoria passed out and so did I.  While I would love to blame the sun and wind, I think it's a combination of that and lack of sleep all semester.

The evening ended with this amazing lady.  She hosted a party for the 8th graders graduating.  I ended up going alone and it was so wonderful to see everyone.  My friend has been through hell and back the last few months.  She is strong and courageous and has incredible faith.  It was wonderful to see her laughing and enjoying the moment!!
